Restored flight engineer's panel was a busy place. Early engines has a MTBF of 200 hours, or one failure per 50 hours of flight. As many led to catostrophic fires, the engines were as big a treat as enemy defenses. Many occurred during max T.O. power, and with the bomb loads ordered by Gen. LeMay, were often not survivable.
